DKI Bawaslu Reminds His Staff Not To Wear Identical Clothes With Political Parties And Candidates For The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) DKI Jakarta Munandar Nugraha reminded his staff not to wear clothes with coloreds affiliated with political parties (parpol) or pairs of candidates (paslons) for presidential and vice presidential elections in the 2024 election. "All clothes that are identical to the election participants, which are worn by the candidate pair, while (time) we first set them aside in the cupboard. Make sure we don't wear them during the election," said Munandar in Jakarta, Wednesday 20 December. The next, Munandar also reminded his staff to pay attention to the attitude during the 2024 election, in particular when discussing certain election participants. He asked all Bawaslu members and election supervisors throughout DKI Jakarta not to be enthusiastic when others were discussing certain election participants. According to him, such an attitude can be identified by others as a form of not supporting the election participants discussed. "Don't let our attitude be identified, if we talk about one of the candidate pairs, we are not enthusiastic, we are enthusiastic about other candidates," said Munandar.

Finally, Munandar asked all Bawaslu members and election supervisors throughout DKI Jakarta to always maintain the good name of their institution.

He also emphasized that work as an election supervisor is an honorable job so that members of Bawaslu or election supervisors do not damage this honor by taking disgraceful actions, such as asking for payment after conducting surveillance in an area. "Because we are respected people, do not damage our honor," he said.
