JAKARTA - The Lampung Provincial Language Office has launched an online and print version of the Lampung language dictionary to reactivate the use of regional languages and preserve local culture.

"The preparation and launching of the Lampung language dictionary is our effort to preserve the regional language and culture in Lampung Province," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Language Office Eva Krisna in Bandarlampung, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 19.

He said that in the previous year the printed version of the Lampung language dictionary had been published beforehand, but to make it easier for users to publish an online version of the dictionary.

"We have also created an online version of the Lampung language dictionary so that people can directly access the website of the Lampung Provincial Language Office to make it easier for people to learn the Lampung language through their devices," he said.

Currently, the Language Office team continues to make vocabulary entries to improve the online Lampung Language dictionary.

"We continue to enter vocabulary, so later for the community or students who have difficulty learning the Lampung language in local content subjects, they can access the online dictionary. This is also a form of socializing people to love local languages," he said.
