BANDAR LAMPUNG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bandar Lampung City finally appointed Eva Dwiana-Deddy Amarullah as the elected mayor and deputy mayor in the 2020 Pilkada.

"According to the rules, we have to follow up on the Constitutional Court (MK) decision no later than five days after receiving a copy of the decision, so today we are ratifying and ratifying the elected mayor and deputy mayor pair," said Chairman of the Bandarlampung KPU, Dedi Triyadi quoted by Antara, Thursday , February 18th.

The Bandar Lampung KPU received a copy of the Constitutional Court's decision on Wednesday, February 17 from the Indonesian KPU. The decision of the Bandar Lampung KPU regarding the Appointment of Elected Candidate Pair for Mayor and Deputy Mayor in the 2020 Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election, is contained in Number: 080 / HK.03.1-kot / 187 / KPU-Kot / II / 2021.

"Next, we will submit this decree to the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Bandarlampung for the plenary session," said Dedi.

Meanwhile, the elected Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, feels grateful that he has been appointed as regional head by the KPU.

"Alhamdulillah, today we have been appointed as Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bandar Lampung, who will be plenished directly by the DPRD," he said.

Eva thanked the people of Bandarlampung for their extraordinary support for her struggle to become mayor.

"There are no 100 working days, basically after being inaugurated we will work optimally with my representative Deddy Amarullah to give the best for the community," he said.

Eva asked for the cooperation of all parties so that they can work together to build the city of Bandarlampung even more so that the capital of Lampung Province can be a pride at the national level.

"Once again I would like to thank the public and all the elements that may have been a lot of trouble during our campaign but this is the result of people's choice," he said.
