JAKARTA - The daughter of Indonesia's 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur, Inaya Wulandari Wahid said that ethics is a way of maintaining the dignity of the nation.

"If today there is a candidate for ruler, a candidate for leader, who is asked about ethics and then he is annoyed and answered 'Your head is ethical' then we know how he puts the dignity and dignity of his nation," said Inaya at the 14th Haul Gus Dus event in Ciganjur, Jakarta, Saturday, quoted by Antara.

"Because ethics is a matter of maintaining the dignity of this nation," he continued.

Furthermore, Inaya said that ignoring ethics means ignoring humanity.

"Humans have dignity and dignity because of their ethical awareness and the Khalik has entrusted morals to us, humans as their plenary creatures," he said.

Previously, presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto at the Gerindra Party National Working Meeting (Rakernas) seemed to mention the statement by the presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan regarding the code of ethics.

In this statement, Prabowo seemed to mention the question from Anies during the inaugural debate that questioned Prabowo's feelings about the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which passed Gibran Rakabuming Raka as his assistant vice presidential candidate.

"How do Prabowo feel? Regarding ethics, ethics, ethics, and ethics. I want to be good, I want to get along well. I want, let's go forward for the people. Anies is attacking. Anwar Usman himself is Gibran's uncle and also the brother-in-law of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
