Jokowi Gathers Ministers At The Palace, Discusses Christmas And New Year 2024 Preparations

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo held a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday 11 December. The agenda for the trial discussed a number of things, one of which was the preparation of Christmas and New Year 2024.

The Plenary Cabinet session, which was attended by the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet and the leaders of state institutions, also discussed the latest economic conditions and evaluations related to programs and activities in 2023.

The President started his introduction to the Plenary Cabinet Session by reminding all ranks, first, regarding the realization of the 2023 budget.

"This means only two weeks left. So that it is really followed, because my target is to realize at least 95 percent. So please ask the director general daily, ask the deputy so that the target does not miss, the realization of the budget in 2023," said Joko Widodo.

Second, he requested that the preparations for Christmas and New Year's 2024 be carried out properly, related to transportation, supply and distribution of basic materials, because it is estimated that there will be a movement of 107 million people at that time.

Third, he asked the ranks to prepare for the realization of the 2024 budget since January.

Fourth, related to price stability, especially basic commodities. The President observed the high price of rice and chilies, as well as price fluctuations in a number of areas, due to supply and distribution problems.

The President on that occasion also asked for reports and the Ministry of Finance regarding the estimated growth in the fourth quarter of 2023.
