Support Father's Project, Deputy Minister Of Tourism And Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo: MNC Lido City Will Become National Pride

JAKARTA - The integrated tourism area belonging to the MNC Group in Lido Sukabumi, West Java has received full support from the Indonesian government. The project from the conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo has received approval from the National Council for Special Economic Zones as a Special Economic Tourism Zone (KEK Pariwisata).

The daughter of Hary Tanoesoedibjo who is also Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Wamenparekraf), Angela Tanoesoedibjo is sure that MNC Lido City will be a project that can be proud of and become a new tourist destination in Indonesia. Moreover, the project is claimed to be similar to Disneyland and Universal Studio.

"I am sure that the MNC Lido City Tourism Special Economic Zone will become a national pride and a new tourist destination in Indonesia", wrote Angela on her Instagram account @angelatanoesoedibjo, quoted by VOI, Wednesday, February 17.

Angela also believes that the project can support and contribute to accelerating the achievement of the targets of the central and regional governments, by increasing the number of domestic and international tourist visits.

"This is also a place for the development of MSMEs and the creative economy so that it opens up new business opportunities and creates jobs for the absorption of labor from the regions", added this representative from Sandiaga Uno.

Currently MNC Lido City is developing residential, commercial, tourist destinations and integrated resorts covering an area of 3,000 hectares (Ha) in Lido, West Java, which borders the Provinces of DKI Jakarta and Banten, surrounded by more than 70 million residents.

Located about 60 kilometers (km) from Jakarta, MNC Lido City can be reached directly via the Bocimi Toll, which takes one hour from Jakarta. After being designated as a Tourism SEZ, the company also started building Movieland in MNC Lido City.

Movieland, the outdoor film and drama series studio at MNC Lido City is said to be the center of the first world-class film and drama series industry in Indonesia.
