Gibran Asks For The Blessing Of NU Figures To Win The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked for the blessing and support of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch Manager of Sragen Regency, Central Java in order to win the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"I'm a good listener. I can be given input or criticism so that later it can be used for future provisions," said Gibran as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 2.

Gibran is known to have visited the Chairman of PCNU SragenKH Sriyanto, in Babatan Wonorejo Village, Kedawung District, Sragen Regency, Central Java, Friday (1/12) night.

During the visit, Gibran also asked PCNU ranks to support all Prabowo-Gibran programs that will be implemented if elected president and vice president.

With the support of the PCNU ranks, he believes that the programs that Prabowo-Gibran will run will be easily accepted by the public.

"I request that the Kiai, the ulama, can oversee the program so that it can run well," said Gibran.

On this occasion, PCNU Chairman Sriyanto said he supports Gibran's commitment to increasing equality in the kiai.

"When it comes to Islamic boarding schools, of course there are several things. The first is Kyai. Sometimes I don't think there is no technology (no one pays attention to it," he said.

Second, according to him, is the santri, he agreed with Gibran, namely equalizing santri with the current generations so as not to be left behind in all aspects.

He hopes that these ideals can be continued by Prabowo-Gibran if he has been elected president and vice president.
