KARANGASEM - The search for the third day in the waters of Mimba Beach, Padangbai, Karangasem, Bali, found a bright spot.

The joint SAR team combed the three anglers who were hit by the waves. When the water began to recede, one personnel was lowered into a rocky puddle on the shore. At that time, a fishing rod was found which was thought to belong to the victim.

"The search started at the location where the victim was hit by the waves, where there was a puddle in that position. However, after the search, only a fishing rod was found, while there are still no victims, "said Head of the Bali Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas), Gede Darmada, in a written statement from SAR Bali, Tuesday, February 16.

The search using the Rigid Inflatable Boat was again carried out by the joint SAR team. Furthermore, a team from Bakamla also conducted a search using the RIB.

Several hours later, information was received from the fishermen regarding the discovery of a body of a man in the middle of the sea who was suspected of being one of the victims.

"We have not been able to confirm that the body is one of the victims before there is an identification from the hospital," said Darmada.

The victim's condition was swollen and was floating on her back.

The body was then evacuated by the SAR Team and taken to the Karangasem General Hospital.

Three anglers were reported missing on Sunday, February 14th. The three of them were known to be fishing on Saturday, February 13, night at Mimba Beach, Padangbai.

The identities of the three are I Kadek Rena (30), a resident of Duda Village, Selat District, I Wayan Abdiana (30), a resident of Duda Village, and I Gede Satya (30), a resident of Sibetan Village, Bebandem District.
