Anies-Muhaimin's Mandatory Promise To Be Remembered: Prepare Affordable Mortgages For Small Communities

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Team (Timnas) Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) Billy David Neututumilena said the presidential and vice-presidential candidates wanted to present a home ownership credit program (KPR) that is easier for all people to reach.

"We want to bring justice to all. Therefore, the 'KPR for all' is enthusiastic so that everyone has (home)," Billy said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.

Billy said the "KPR for All" program departed from the idea that home is one of the basic rights of all citizens. This basic right, he added, should be fulfilled.

The flagship program of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1, he added, has the same spirit as the Rp0 homedown payment (DP) program initiated by Anies while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017-2022 period.

According to Billy, the "KPR for All" program confirms that everyone with any level income has the same opportunity to be able to get a home as their basic right.

Through the program carried by Anies-Muhaimin, informal and freelance workers have the opportunity to access the convenience of mortgages.

"Of course, when we talk about the context of mortgages in Jakarta or in rural areas (such as) in Sulawesi, the context will be different. But what we want to encourage in all places is to bring justice to everyone," said Billy.

In his inaugural campaign on Tuesday (28/11) in Bogor, West Java, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan promoted a program of easy KPR requirements for independent and informal workers by adjusting the residents' economic situation. Anies echoed the program again when campaigning in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday.
