MAKASSAR - The governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah responded to the dismissal of an honorary teacher at SDN 169 Desa Sadar, Bone Regency. This honorary teacher was fired after uploading a salary of IDR 700 thousand for 4 months on Facebook.

"So we also have to listen, according to the report from the deputy regent yesterday, I went straight to Bone to check. I received a report from the person concerned that she was 5 years inactive. The teacher was reactivated to teach. Meanwhile, The IDR 700,000 is indeed from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK), but there is another IDR 500,000 from the Regional Budget (APBD) for the regency", South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah told reporters, Monday, February 15.

Therefore, Nurdin Abdullah emphasized that the dismissal of honorary teachers could not only be linked to uploads on Facebook.

"No, not only that factor, this is regarding education, a teacher must be continuous teaching, there are other considerations from the school, perhaps because it is ineffective", he continued.

An elementary school teacher in Bone, Hervina (34), was previously fired after posting her IDR 700 thousand salary on social media. Hervina has served at the SDN for years.

In a post on her Facebook account, this honorary teacher posted her salary of IDR 700 thousand from the School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds for 4 months. Handwritten on a piece of paper, this honorary teacher also wrote down the details of the use of her IDR 700 thousand salary. Among them are paying debts.
