Median Survey: DKI Residents Are Satisfied And Want Anies To Move Again In The Pilgub DKI

JAKARTA - The results of a survey by Media Survey Indonesia (Median) show that the performance of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is satisfactory.

Median Research Director Ade Irfan Abdurahman who said 52.5 percent of respondents were satisfied with the work Anies had done during his tenure.

"People who are satisfied with their performance (Anies Baswedan, red) are 52.5 percent, while people who are not satisfied are 32.5 percent. While those who don't know or don't answer are 15.05 percent," said Ade in presenting the survey results entitled ' Jakarta Governor Seat Tight Competition ', Monday, February 15th.

Median noted that as many as 48 percent of respondents wanted Anies to come forward as an incumbent candidate in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada even though the implementation is not yet known in 2022 or 2024. Meanwhile, 38 percent asked Anies to be replaced by another figure and 14 percent did not answer.

In this survey, there were several things that were assessed by the respondents as having successfully carried out Anies as the Governor of DKI Jakarta. The first success was related to COVID-19 social assistance, which was assessed by 7.8 percent of respondents as being run by the former Minister of Education and Culture and his staff.

Furthermore, 6 percent of respondents thought Anies was successful in building infrastructure; 3.8 percent of respondents thought Anies was successful in making public transportation neater; 3.5 percent thought Anies was successful in urban planning; and 2.5 percent rated Anies as successfully implementing free education.

Meanwhile, for shortages, as many as 8 percent of respondents considered Anies to be lacking in matters of the economy and dealing with unemployment; 5.8 percent considered that he was still lacking in handling the COVID-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta; 5.3 percent thought Anies was not handling the flood problem; 5 percent think that the distribution of social assistance is not evenly distributed; and 2.5 respondents considered Anies not yet firm.

As for issues that must be prioritized, 22 percent of respondents considered Anies and his staff to focus on handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then, 18.8 percent of respondents thought Anies should give priority to the declining economy and unemployment rate; 15 percent of respondents rated priority should be given to dealing with flooding; 5.3 percent considered traffic jams should also be a priority; and finally, 3.8 percent of respondents thought that social assistance that was not on target should be Anies' attention.

The Median survey was held from January 31 to February 3 with 400 respondents who are DKI Jakarta residents who have the right to vote. The survey was conducted with a margin of error of less than 4.9 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent and the sample was selected using multistage random sampling and proportional to the population.
