JAKARTA - The Pasar Minggu Police are investigating the snatching case of a six-year-old girl in the Kebagusan Besar area, South Jakarta City.
"While we are checking, we have deployed the picket officers to trace the incident after we received information from the social media," said the Pasar Minggu Police Chief, Police Commissioner Effi M. Zulkifli, quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 14.
The snatching action was recorded by a surveillance camera (CCTV) which was widely shared on Instagram social media and the WhatsApp group.
The incident occurred in the Kebagusan area near the Al Masykuriah Mosque, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta City, around 11.00 Western Indonesia Time.

"There have been reports, now the Criminal Investigator picket officer (criminal investigator) has gone to the crime scene to check," said Iffi.
The victim's father, Firdaus Hardiansyah, made a report on the incident by saying that the gold necklace that was snatched was worth IDR 1.1 million. As a result of snatching, the child is psychologically disturbed.
