After Being Treated For Several Days, The Victim And Perpetrator Of The Manggarai Brawl Died At The RSCM

JAKARTA The perpetrator and victim of the Manggarai brawl with the initials SR (23) were declared dead, after receiving treatment at the RSCM, Central Jakarta. The brawl took place in the Manggarai area, South Jakarta, last Saturday, October 21.

"(The victim has died. He died, was buried yesterday," said Tebet Police Chief, Kompol Jamalinus Nababan when confirmed, Wednesday, November 8.

Jamalinus said that the victim was thought to have been hit by a large stone. However, he did not know further about the injuries suffered by the victim.

"(The victim) is coming, yes, the perpetrator is as well as the victim. (The wound) what if it gets hit by a big stone," he said.

Regarding the alleged perpetrator of the brawl, said Jamalinus, his party is still conducting an investigation. He admitted that he had a little problem because CCTV was lacking which was so clear on the face of the perpetrator.

"We are still looking for the perpetrator, we are having trouble with CCTV," he said.

Meanwhile, he said that at this time his party was still guarding the area which was a hotspot for brawls.

"We keep on guard, our members stay on standby there, members continue to sweep inside," he concluded.

It is known that the brawl in Manggarai took place on October 21, starting when the bazaar was held in the Pasar Rumput area of RW 12, Manggarai, South Jakarta. Then the RW 04 youth group with RW 05 were not allowed to enter the bazaar area.

"We suspect that in RW 012 there will be a youth bazaar. Young people make bazaars, they want to enter but there is no resistance. Maybe they can't enter," he said.

He explained that the brawl took place 20-25 minutes. The brawl was stopped after dozens of personnel went to the crime scene (TKP).

"We gave warning shots by two officers and immediately disbanded," he said.

After the brawl, two days later or to be precise Saturday, October 21, another act of violence occurred. This time it took victims until they were taken to the RSCM, Central Jakarta.
