6 Mess Employees Of PT ATP In Cakung Burned Due To An Electric Short Circuit

A total of 6 mess of employees of a company on Jalan Cakung Cilincing, West Cakung Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, were scorched by fire.

The 90-minute fire scorched the entire building without any remnant, Tuesday, November 7, evening.

"The cause is suspected to be an electrical short circuit. The object caught fire with an employee mess with a burned area of 800m2," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Tuesday, November 7.

Behind it is known, the mess belongs to PT ATP. The loss is estimated at Rp. 200 million due to the fire.

"There were no victims. As many as 50 employees were saved," he said.

The first fire incident was known by residents who saw the fire had grown from one of the mess rooms. The fire emerged from the mess room left by the occupants.

"Currently, the flames have been extinguished. The watering is carried out by 12 fire engines with a total of 60 personnel. There are many water sources from the flow around the location," he said.
