COVID-19 Update As Of February 12: New 9.869 Cases, Accumulated 1.201.859 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 53.957 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 9.869 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.201.859 people and as many as 165.086 active cases", data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Friday, February 12.

Today's recovered cases have increased by 11.000 cases so that a total of 1.004.117 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 275 people and the total was 32.656 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 3.810 cases and a total of 310.039 cases. Followed by East Kalimantan which has 931 new cases with a total of 48.528 cases. East Java has 776 new cases and a total of 121.299 cases. Then, West Java has 683 new cases and a total of 172.384 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 5.636 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 1.582 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 1,085 recovered cases, and East Kalimantan with an additional 543 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported zero new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was Maluku.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 9.987.708. In detail, a total of 9.841.822 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 145.886 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The cumulative positive result per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18.1 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 76.505 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
