Jakarta Heavy Rain Saturday Night, Mampang Prapatan Residents Flooded Almost 1 Meter

Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Isnawa Adji said RT 006 and RT013 in RW 05, Kuningan Barat, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta were flooded due to heavy rains on Saturday night at 21.40 WIB.

"RT 006/05 is 70 centimeters high. RT 013/05 TMA 50 centimeters," Isnawa said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, November 5.

In addition, said Isnawa, Jalan Pondok Karya RW 004, Pela Mampang, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta was submerged in water with an altitude of 10 to 30 centimeters due to rising water at Katulampa Dam, Bogor.

BPBD then raised the status of the area to alert three (alert).

"The Katulampa Dam in Bogor, Depok Post, Pesanggrahan Post, Angke Hulu Post and Cipinang Hulu Post have three alert status alert due to heavy rain, Saturday night at 21.00 WIB," said Isnawa.

Furthermore, water also inundated Jalan Timbul, Jagakarsa at 20.00 WIB.

"The water level reaches 50 centimeters and for now it has dried up 0 centimeters," said Isnawa.

Isnawa appealed to residents, especially those who live on the banks of rivers or rivers to be careful about flood hazards.

"The DKI BPBD appeals to the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation. In an emergency, immediately call telephone number 112. This service is free and operates for 24 hours non-stop," concluded Isnawa.
