JAKARTA - Officers from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mojokerto City Police, East Java (Jatim) spread out sketches of the faces of the perpetrators of the murder of the therapist at the Berkah massage parlor in Mlirip Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto.

Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Deddy Supriadi said that the distribution of sketches of the perpetrators' faces was done to make it easier for officers to carry out case investigations.

"Although they have not succeeded in revealing the identity of the perpetrator, the officers have already pocketed the characteristics of the perpetrator who had the heart to kill the therapist," he said in Mojokerto as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 11.

Sketches of the perpetrators' faces are distributed in public places such as restaurants, public transportation vehicles, to terminals so that they can be accessed and known by many people.

"Eyewitness accounts and surveillance camera footage, the perpetrator's face, namely his oval face, dark brown skin, curly hair, around 25 to 30 years old and thin," said Chief of Police Deddy.

He said, from the confiscated video footage of the surveillance camera, the perpetrator fled on a pink Honda Beat motorcycle that was thought to belong to the perpetrator.

"Sketches from the testimonies of five witnesses. There are also surveillance cameras belonging to residents, only the focus is on the home page, not on the road. So, the perpetrator is only visible from the side, thus the identity of the vehicle," added Police Chief Ruddy.

The autopsy showed that the victim died because the perpetrator was hacked using a machete.

"The autopsy was carried out at Bhayangkara Hospital. The victim was injured by a sharp object with a length of seven centimeters, in a wound of 15 centimeters and through to the throat," he said.

He hopes that the efforts made can speed up the officers in uncovering this case.

"We hope the public can immediately report to us if they know the characteristics of the perpetrators," he said.
