JAKARTA - A culinary shop employee named Aray (35) suffered burns due to an explosion of a leaking gas cylinder while cooking food. He suffered injuries after being hit by a fire through the gas explosion. "The victim of one person named Aray is 35 years old. He was hit by a fire strike due to the explosion," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal, to VOI, Tuesday, October 31. The fire that hit a culinary area in Pejompongan scorched 5 food stalls. The burned area is about 30 meters in size. "The cause of the fire was caused by an explosion due to a gas stove pipe leak," he said. Asril further explained, the victim is an employee who owns a food stall in the area. The owner named Mustofa.

"Initially, the victim Aray will turn on the gas stove, when he started the gas stove there was an explosion. The victim was hit by a fire due to an explosion," he said. Currently, the fire has been successfully cooled and extinguished. Previously, it was reported that the culinary kiosk area on Jalan Pejompongan 1, Pejompongan, RT 07/06, Bendungan Hilir Village, Tanah Abang District, was scorched by fire. The fire broke out at around 11.02 WIB. "The object caught fire at a food stall, a semi-permanent building. The amount is not yet known because the fire is still burning," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal to VOI, Tuesday, October 31. A total of 6 fire engines were deployed to the location. Dozens of officers are also still extinguishing the fire. "The cause is not yet known, it is still a watering process," he said.
