The Motive For The Stabbing Of DKI Parekraf Head Of District: The Perpetrator Does Not Accept The Termination Of The Work Contract

JAKARTA - The police revealed the motive for the stabbing of the Acting Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Gumilar Ekalaya. The perpetrator with the initials RH (43) did not accept that his work contract was terminated.

"(The suspect) conveyed that he felt pressured because he had been terminated by the contract so he could no longer work at the office," South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Azis Andiansyah told reporters on Thursday, February 11.

Azis said, two days earlier the perpetrator had visited the civil service office where he worked. The perpetrator asked for a work contract.

However, the personnel sector asked the perpetrators to immediately ask the related agencies. The perpetrator obeyed these directions

"It turned out that the contract had already expired, then he was asked to ask for it in his official agency, namely the real Culture Service, not the Tourism Office. Answered like that (RH) had aroused anger," said Aziz.

Next, RH visited Gumilar Ekalaya's office. It's just that the answer received from Gumilar to his question was unsatisfactory

RH then got emotional and immediately stabbed Anies Baswedan's men. The perpetrator immediately fled.

"The head (Gumilar Ekalaya) conveyed what it is normative. That the perpetrator is a contract employee who is appointed at the Culture Service, please ask about it," he said.

"Getting an answer like that, the suspect did not accept it and was emotional. He immediately stabbed the official in the leg," he continued.

The perpetrator was named a suspect under the suspicion of Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code and Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning possession of sharp weapons without permission.
