JAKARTA - Agustri Yogasmara, the operator of the former Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Ihsan Yunus, returned two units of Brompton-branded folding bikes. The bicycle given by Harry Sidabuke, the suspect who gave the bribe in the COVID-19 social assistance bribery case, will then be analyzed and then confiscated if it is related.

At around 14.00 WIB, Wednesday, February 10 yesterday, Agustri Yogasmara alias Yogas arrived at the Red and White Building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. On arrival at the building, he headed straight for the registration desk and headed to the second floor of the investigator room before handing over the two bicycles.

After handing over the bicycles, the KPK immediately reconstructed the case. There is an interesting incident in this reconstruction activity. The operator Ihsan Yunus, Yogas, seemed nervous as he folded his bicycle to be put into the car.

As a result, the British-made bike is not perfectly involved and makes Harry help fold the bike. Even though it has been helped, the bicycle has not folded completely and in the end, the bicycle is inserted into the car with an imperfect fold.

During this reconstruction, investigators asked several questions. Including the car used by Yogas when receiving the two bicycles.

"Time to handover to whom?" asked the investigator to Yogas at the KPK building.

"Alone," he replied.

"Who did you bring Alphard silver with you at that time?"

"Alone," he said.

Not satisfied with Yogas' answer, investigators asked Harry Sidabuke the same question again.

"Take the Alphard silver yourself, right, Harry? Alphard silver or BMW?"

"Yes, Alphard silver, sir," said Harry.

Furthermore, the two men performed a scene on a Brompton bicycle which was allegedly related to the bribery case that ensnared former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara. After the reconstruction was completed, the two of them were then brought back into the KPK's Red and White House for further investigation by investigators.

The bike will be analyzed further

After receiving the bicycle and carrying out reconstruction, Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said the two Brompton units would be further analyzed whether they were related to the COVID-19 social assistance bribery case in the Jabodetabek area.

"Today the witness Agustri Yogasmara was present to hand over 2 units of Brompton bicycles to the KPK investigating team. Next, of course, further analysis will be carried out regarding these items," Ali said in a written statement to reporters.

If the analysis finds a connection with the social assistance case, the KPK will confiscate the bicycle.

"If it is then concluded that there is a connection with a case that is currently in the process of investigation, it will certainly be immediately confiscated as evidence in the case file," he said.

It is known, in the reconstruction of the case that was carried out on Monday, February 1, Yogas was said to have received Rp. 1.53 billion in cash and 2 units of Brompton bicycles from Harry Sidabuke as the operator of Ihsan Yunus.

Meanwhile, Harry gave money to Yogas in June 2020 around Jalan Salemba Raya and was carried out in a car. Meanwhile, two Brompton bikes were awarded in November 2020.

Furthermore, investigators examined Yogas on Monday, February 8. This examination was carried out today, after he failed to fulfill the investigator's summons on Friday, January 29.

During the investigation, Yogas was questioned by investigators in connection with several matters. This includes the implementation of social assistance procurement in Jabodetabek in 2020 at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos), which ensnared former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara.

How is the fate of Ihsan Yunus?

The fact that the operator of the DPR RI faction PDI Perjuangan received a Brompton bicycle and a cash amounting to Rp1.53 billion made the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) ask the KPK to thoroughly investigate this case. Moreover, in this case, Ihsan's role was clearly seen after receiving money and bicycles through his operator.

"For this case, ICW urges the KPK to thoroughly investigate this case. Moreover, it is clear that Ihsan's name is in the reconstruction, no matter what the background, especially politicians must be pursued and resolved," said ICW researcher Dewi Anggraeni to reporters.

He also considered that in this case the KPK actually had two pieces of evidence to determine Ihsan as a suspect. "And also a clear role," he said.

"Hence, ICW urges the KPK to immediately enter a new stage. Because so far the KPK can be said to be a little less serious when it comes to dealing with politicians," he added.

In addition, he also mentioned about the opening of a new investigation to determine new suspects, as mentioned by the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Karyoto.

According to him, the KPK actually does not need to reopen a new investigation into the case. As far as he knew, the anti-graft commission could actually develop cases right away to determine new suspects.

"Now, if the KPK expresses such an opinion, it should be questioned again, the Juliari case and for example the Ihsan case are not different cases. Why should the handling be different," he said.

"As far as I know, the cases that are being handled by the KPK can develop and then be named as suspects again, as long as they comply with the regulations," added Dewi.

Previously reported, the KPK named a number of suspects in connection with the alleged corruption case of social assistance (bansos) food packages for the handling of COVID-19 in the Jabodetabek area including the non-active Social Minister Juliari Batubara.

Apart from Juliari, the KPK also named four other suspects, namely the Commitment Making Officer at the Ministry of Social Affairs (PPK) MJS and AW as the recipient of the bribe and AIM and HS as the giver of the bribe.
