The Search At Firli's House Is Considered Because The Police Are Sure There Is Evidence Of Alleged Extortion Hidden

JAKARTA - Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Yudi Purnomo suspects that Polda Metro Jaya investigators searched the house of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri, not without reason.

Yudi assessed that the police must believe that there was evidence related to the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo which was hidden at the location. This was conveyed by Yudi in response to the forced efforts made by investigators at Firli's house in the Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta and Bekasi, West Java area today, Thursday, October 26.

"Essentially, when investigators conducted a search, there was confidence from investigators that the places that were searched were allegedly hidden by evidence," Yudi told reporters, Thursday, October 26.

Yudi said this search should be appreciated because Polda Metro Jaya means moving quickly to investigate the extortion case. He also hopes that whatever findings are obtained can shed light on the case being handled.

"And we hope that those in the house are cooperative, yes, invite Polda Metro Jaya investigators to search," he said.

Until now, the police are still conducting searches. Firli Bahuri and the Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri are still related to the process.

As previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya has examined 54 witnesses in the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership. They include private driver SYL, SYL's personal aide, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin.

Then the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period Saut Situmorang, Director of Public Complaints and Complaints (Dumas) of the KPK Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar who is also SYL's nephew's husband.

Meanwhile, Firli has been questioned regarding the alleged extortion by the KPK leadership as a witness on Tuesday, October 24 yesterday. There was no statement from him when he entered or after being questioned at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police even though the media crew had been waiting for him since morning.
