Due to this loss, the victim immediately complained to the police. Kompol Berry added that the police had succeeded in obtaining information if someone offered a dove which was thought to be similar to the characteristics of the victim's dove.

After knowing the identity of the person who sold the pigeons, he said, his party immediately went to the house of the perpetrator known to have the initials DT on Tuesday.

"Our members also found two pairs of pigeons at DT's house. Therefore, we immediately secured DT along with evidence in the form of two pairs of pigeons and a Vario motorbike that was used as a vehicle by the perpetrator," he said.

According to him, the perpetrator and the evidence are now at the Banyumas Police Headquarters for further investigation.

Based on the results of the examination, DT stole five pairs of doves by entering the victim's business area and then taking the pigeons from the cage.

"In order to be accountable for his actions, DT will be charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison," he said.
