Tangerang City Government Asks For Help From The Ministry Of Environment And Forestry To Conquer The Red Jago Lalap TPA Rawa Cat

TANGERANG - Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) requested assistance from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) in handling the Rawa Cat TPA fire, Neglasari, Tangerang City.

The fire is still in the pile. So, we asked for help from the ministry and dispatched a team of Manggala Agni troops who used to handle fires in the forest or peatlands," said Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah in his statement, Sunday, October 22.

Arief said that the Ministry of Environment, together with the ranks, were conducting a survey to the location to determine the crucial points that had to be handled.

"Earlier the team went to door two, and was conducting a survey from door two to door three. Hopefully, action can be taken to speed up the extinguishing process, because it is a pity for residents and road users, thick smoke is still happening," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Head of the Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Abdul Muhari said he would deploy a waterbombing helicopter carrying 4 tons of water in handling the Rawa Cat TPA fire.

Abdul hopes that by water bombing, the red rooster who engulfed the Rawa Cat TPA can be conquered. "We hope that with the support of the WB (water bombing) helicopter, the fire can be extinguished," he added.

He said that for the deployment of water bombing helicopters, his party is still coordinating with AirNav. However, he confirmed that the handling of using water bombing will be carried out today.

"We are still coordinating with AirNav for permission and others. Hopefully, operations can be carried out as soon as possible. We will try today or tomorrow's maximum," he concluded.
