Akhyar Nasution Will Be Inaugurated As The Definitive Mayor Of Medan Tomorrow

MEDAN - North Sumatra Governor (Gubsu), Edy Rahmayadi will inaugurate Akhyar Nasution as the definitive mayor of Medan. Akhyar Nasution has received confirmation of the inauguration from the North Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprovsu)

"It has been planned. There has been confirmation from the provincial government. But the time has not been informed", said Akhyar, Wednesday, February 10.

Akhyar Nasution admitted that he had not prepared anything special for his inauguration. Moreover, his term of office only had a few days left.

"Only two days left for me as mayor", he said.

Together with Dzulmi Eldin, Akhyar was inaugurated on 17 February 2016. That way his term of office will end on February 17th.

"After being inaugurated, my tenure will end in two days", he explained.

Towards the end of his tenure, Akhyar Nasution began packing up. A number of personal belongings will be brought back home.

"Starting to pack the items to be brought home", he said.

Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Tito Karnavian, had signed a decree defining Akhyar Nasution as Mayor of Medan for the remaining 2016-2021 term.

The Head of the Regional Autonomy Section of the North Sumatra Regional Secretariat for Government and Regional Autonomy, Ahmad Rasyid Ritonga SK was issued on 8 February.
