Mahfud MD Jahitan's White Shirt 5 Years Ago Which Was Finally Used

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD wore a white shirt during the registration moment with the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo to the KPU today.

Mahfud explained that the white shirt was the same shirt when he was about to register as a presidential and vice presidential candidate with President Joko Widodo five years ago. However, it turned out that the Jokowi coalition at that time chose Ma'ruf Amin as vice presidential candidate, not Mahfud.

"This is a shirt that I prepared 5 years ago to be worn to register with the KPU, but it didn't happen," Mahfud said at a press conference at the KPU building, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 18.

After canceling being Jokowi's vice presidential candidate, Mahfud left the white shirt with his mother in Madura, East Java. The size of the shirt, said Mahfud, did not change.

"When I got the message, I was most likely to be brought to the presidential candidate by the PDIP, PPP, Hanura and Perindo coalitions, on the 16th yesterday I went to my mother to take clothes that were not used to the KPU 5 years ago. Now I wear them," he said.

"He prayed for me to continue to be successful and continue to be my children, who are straight and devoted to my parents," he said.
