Bawaslu Invites The Community To Supervise The Potential For Campaign Violations Starting November 28, 2023-10 February 2024

LAMPUNG - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) invites all elements of society in South Lampung Regency to actively supervise the implementation of the 2024 election campaign stage.

"Bawaslu, South Lampung Regency, really expects the support and direct participation of the community to jointly oversee the campaign for the 2024 election participants," said Head of South Lampung Bawaslu, Wazzaki in Kalida, Lampung, Wednesday, October 18, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that South Lampung Bawaslu in an effort to prevent it from carrying out its supervisory function for the 2024 General Election, intensified participatory surveillance programs, including the Participatory Supervision Village Program.

Through this program, Bawaslu invites all elements of society to jointly oversee the process and stages of the 2024 General Election, including the campaign stages for election participants.

"We invite elements of society to be active and involved in monitoring participation in the implementation of all stages of the 2024 General Election," he said.

He also said the campaign stage would be carried out from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.

This refers to article 69 of the General Election Commission Regulation Number 15/2023 concerning General Election Campaigns.

He revealed that the campaign stage is a stage that has the potential to have insecurity violations, so cooperation and involvement of all elements and components of society are needed to monitor it.

"The general election supervisors at the sub-district and village levels should continue to take preventive measures to minimize violations of the 2024 General Election at the campaign stage," he said.

The South Lampung Bawaslu will continue to socialize to the public and election participants regarding campaign procedures and provisions in accordance with statutory provisions.
