Prabowo Proud Gerindra Cadre Spirit Even Without Central Assistance

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto said he was proud of his cadres in the regions. He saw that many Gerindra cadres were building parties without the assistance of the Gerinda Party Central Executive Council.

Prabowo said this to the Gerindra Party cadres during the anniversary of the party bearing the Garuda symbol.

"I am proud of your enthusiasm. You have been building the party with no help from the center. We stand, we swim or drown, and you have proven that you are not afraid of all the trials we experience," Prabowo said on Youtube. GerindraTV, quoted by VOI on Tuesday, February 9.

Prabowo, who is also the Minister of Defense, admitted that at this time he felt he had to hold back more for the sake of big interests. However, Prabowo did not mention what those interests were.

"Sometimes I also have to hold back a lot for the sake of big interests, for the sake of the party and all the Indonesian people," he said.

Prabowo told his cadres that Gerindra's struggle was still far away. However, he is optimistic that Gerindra can build a large national coalition.

"Our Longmarch is not finished. There will be many challenges. Maybe some of you will recede, maybe some of you will be discouraged, but I see that most of you will continue to struggle," he concluded.
