Kakorlantas: Cipali KM 122 Ambles Toll, 20 Days Repair Process

JAKARTA - Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Inspector General Istiono, said that the collapsed Cipali toll road at KM 122 from Cirebon towards Jakarta was already under repair. It is targeted that the repair process for the subsidence road at the Cipali Toll Road will be completed in about 20 days

"The target for the repair was discussed in 20 days with BPJT and Binamarga Ministry of PUPR," Istiono told reporters, Tuesday, February 9.

During the repair process at KM 122 Tol Cipali, the National Police will apply a contra-flow to solve the congestion that has occurred. This scheme is carried out from KM 117 to KM 126.

"We coordinate with BPJT and the Ministry of PUPR, namely conducting a contraflow from KM 126 to 117. It is hoped that the traffic from Semarang to Jakarta can be handled quickly and well," said Inspector General Istiono.

Meanwhile, today there is a 1 kilometer contraflow starting from KM 122 to KM 123.

Inspector General Istiono said that the problem on the Cipali Toll Road was not only a matter of subsidence at KM 122. There was also flooding at KM 36.

Drivers passing the Cipali Toll Road are asked to be vigilant and careful.

"The Pantura route was flooded, Karawang was flooded, Subang was flooded. This is a burden. The road is the only road that will be passed. Of course we can still manage this with a contraflow. This can be handled," he said.

The Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) KM 122 toll road from Cirebon towards Jakarta has collapsed and cannot be passed by vehicles. The cause of the road subsidence is still being investigated.
