Police Cannot Tell Ustaz Maaher's Disease Because It Concerns Good Name

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters stated that they could not convey the illness suffered by Ustaz Maaher At-Tahuwailibi alias Soni Ernata. Ustaz Maaher died at the Police Criminal Investigation Detention Center.

"I cannot convey what the pain was because it was sensitive, this could be related to the good name of the deceased," said Head of Public Relations of the Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono to reporters, Tuesday, February 9.

Most importantly, said Argo, the police medical officer has provided care to Ustad Maaher while complaining about his illness

"From the doctor's statement and the treatment, Soni Ernata's brother has a sensitive illness which can make the family's good name tarnished if we mention it here," said Argo.

Previously reported, lawyer Ustad Maaher, Juju Purwantoro said his clients often complain of pain in the stomach. It is strongly suspected that the cause of Ustadz Maaher's death was due to the disease.

"(Last pain) was a wound in the stomach. It's just that we don't know the exact (cause)," said Juju.
