JCI Was Opened To Weaken Again, Thursday Morning Was At The Level Of 5,680.44

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) was opened lower at the opening of trading on Thursday, February 27. JCI fell 8.48 points or 0.15 percent to 5,680.44.

This weakness is the fourth day in a row since early trading last week. Opening trading today, there are 53 stocks rising, 57 stocks weakening, and 98 stocks stagnating. Trade transactions reached IDR 68.2 billion from 59 million shares traded.

Reliance Sekuritas analyst Lanjar Nafi said, the JCI is predicted to fall again on Thursday's trade. The COVID-19 sentiment will still be a barrier for the index to return to the green path.

The very rapid development of the spread of the corona virus outside of China makes investors worried that this virus could become a global pandemic. As of yesterday, the virus has killed more than 2,700 and 80,200 people worldwide.

"Investors are still waiting for data on the development of the corona virus outbreak and its impact on several economies around the world," said Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia analyst, Lanjar Nafi in his written research.

Based on his technical analysis, he estimates the JCI correction will continue. He said the domestic index today will move with the support and resistance area at the range 5,620-6,735.

This morning, the stocks that entered the top gainers, namely PT Sanurhasta Mitra Tbk (MINA) rose IDR7 or 10.61 percent to IDR73, shares of PT Pelayaran Tamarin Samudra Tbk (TAMU) rose IDR9 or 9.6 percent to IDR102 and shares of PT Sky Energy Indonesia Tbk (JSKY) increased by Rp9 or 7 percent to Rp136.

As for the stocks that entered the top losers, among others, the shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) fell IDR200 or 4.46 percent to IDR4,280, shares of PT Indonesia Tobacco Tbk (ITIC) fell IDR55 or 3.43 percent to IDR1. 550 and shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) fell IDR 25 or 2.4 percent to IDR 1,010.
