Tofu Factory Steam Tank Explosion In Ambon: 4 Injured Workers, Roboh Wall

AMBON - The explosion of a vapour sink tank at the tofu processing plant owned by UD Candra in the Rijali Village area, Ambon City, left four workers injured. "The tank explosion that occurred at around 09.30 WIT also caused the factory wall to collapse," said Head of Public Relations of the Ambon Island Police and PP Lease Ipda Janete Luhukay in Ambon, Antara, Sunday, October 8. The four people who were injured in the accident, namely Rudi Rianto (29), Pendi Agus Wirawan (22), Wahyu Andik Setiawan (34), and Riski Ariyanto (36). Until tonight they were still receiving medical treatment at the Al-Fatah Ambon Hospital. The explosion that caused the factory wall to know that it collapsed also had an impact on three glass windows of the Baiturrohim Musala breaking because it was about 10 meters from the scene. Sirimau Police Chief AKP Sally Lewerissa and her personnel went to the scene, then carried out security by installing police lines and collecting information from witnesses. Furthermore, the Ambon Island Police Identification team also arrived at the scene, immediately processing the crime scene (TKP). According to the Head of Public Relations, the police who went to the scene received testimony from witness Rahim Suat (44) as the owner of UD Candra. Initially, the witness said, cleaning up the Baiturrohim Musala with several local residents who were not far from the crime scene, suddenly heard explosions once. Rahim went straight to the source of the explosion and saw that the items inside the tofu factory were already a mess. As soon as they saw four injured victims, a number of people who were at the scene immediately evacuated them to Al-Fatah Ambon Hospital. Witness Rudi Rianto, a factory worker, knew that when he found out he suddenly heard the sound of an explosion once. At the same time the steam flow pipe fell and hit his hand.
