Jokowi: Don't Be Separated Because Of Different Choices

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo continues to warn and remind all parties to avoid divisions in responding to differences in choice in the 2024 Elections.

Jokowi often conveyed this appeal on various occasions. This time, he again conveyed when attending the 2023 Jokowi Young Ulama Solidarity National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Saturday, October 7th.

"I want to, the 2024 election, be it the presidential election, the regent election, governors, mayors; we are divided because of differences of choice, don't. Because every five years there must be elections," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA.

The President also reminded not to let differences in choice make the people out of harmony with each other and forget unity.

"Usually (if) there are different choices. Sometimes, the leader has had lunch together, coffee is still noisy; this is what we have to avoid, because there are elections every five years," he explained.

Jokowi invites all parties to maintain brotherhood, harmony, and ukhuwahislamiah, wathaniyah, and insaniyah.

"It's a different choice and it's okay," said Jokowi.
