Kasatresnarkoba Labuhanbatu Police AKP Martualesi Sitepu said the identities of the two suspects with the initials MZ alias Zuned (31) and HT alias Ogut (43) who are residents of Labuhanbatu Regency.
The two suspects were secured on Sunday, February 7 at different locations. Both of them had to be paralyzed for trying to fight off the officers during development.
Of the two suspects, officers confiscated evidence in the form of crystal meth weighing 52.77 grams, three units of cell phones, one samurai sword and Rp300 thousand in cash.
"For the suspect, Ogut acted as a courier, while the suspect Zuned had the role of quoting the money from the sale," said AKP Martualesi.
Suspect Zuned is a narcotics case recidivist from the old 'Man Batak' syndicate network.
"The person concerned is a recidivist who was arrested by Satnarkoba Labuhanbatu in 2017 and sentenced to 4 years, released in April 2020, which according to the suspect during his imprisonment was financed by Man Batak and after leaving prison immediately joined the drug syndicate," he explained.
The two suspects were suspected of violating article 114 (2) Sub 112 (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law no.35 of 2009 on Narcotics with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
