Watch The FIBA World Cup 2023 Event Test, Menpora Dito Optimistic That Indonesian Basketball Will Rise

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo witnessed the FIBA World Cup 2023 event test between the Indonesian Basketball National Team vs Indonesia Patriots. Menpora Dito is optimistic that Indonesia's basketball achievements will rise.

Menpora Dito was present at around 18.00 WIB when he was greeted by the Head of PB Perbasi Danny Kosasih, Secretary General of PB Perbasi Nirmala Dewi and Secretary General of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Junas Miradiarsyah. In that match, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir was also seen.

"Yes, we have just witnessed a test event or simulation for the implementation of the Basketball World Cup," said Menpora Dito after watching the match at the Indonesia International Basketball Invitational tournament at the Indoor Multifunction Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 2.

"I think Indonesia's basketball achievements will rise to a peak in the next few years," added Menpora Dito.

Menpora Dito was happy, although during the invitational period the audience's enthusiasm was very high. Moreover, basketball already has a good venue and has international standards.

"So in this event test, we also see how the audience enters and enters the venue. We see, thank God, we already have a very good venue and this is an event test, we just see that the enthusiasm is very high," said Menpora Dito.

In the 2023 FIBA World Cup event test, Indonesia fielded the Indonesian and Indonesian Patriots Basketball national teams, as well as two other contestants, namely the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked 105 FIBA and Syria ranked 72th.

In the match of the Indonesia vs Indonesia Patriots national team, the Indonesian basketball team defeated the Indonesia Patriots with a score of 82-56.
