The Asmat Police, South Papua, again destroyed 1,200 cans of alcoholic beverages that were secured from inside containers that were dropped off in Agats.

Previously, on Saturday (23/9) 2,196 bottles of alcoholic beverages from various brands had also been destroyed.

Asmat Police Chief AKBP Agus Hariadi said 1,200 cans of alcoholic beverages of the Guinness brand of black beer were found in a cardboard mineral water.

Thousands of cans of alcoholic beverages are stored in 50 cartons of mineral water transported using KM. MM which docked at Agats port Thursday (21/9).

The alcoholic cans were found in the container which was last lowered, Agus said, adding that when examined last Saturday (23/9) 50 cartons of mineral water containing black beer were found.

Previously, 2,196 bottles of alcoholic beverages were also found from various brands in two containers that were previously lowered.

"For 2,196 bottles of alcohol, it has been destroyed on Saturday (23/9)," explained Agus Hariadi.

When asked who owns the alcohol, Asmat Police Chief admitted that until now it is not known.

"Members are still investigating who owns the thousands of liquor that has now been destroyed by opening the lid and disposing of its contents," said AKBP Agus Hariadi.
