Jokowi Does Not Reply To AHY's Letter Regarding The Alleged Democratic Coup

JAKARTA - State Secretary Pratikno said President Joko Widodo would not reply to a letter sent by the General Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

"So we have received the letter. We don't think we need to answer the letter," said Pratikno in Jakarta, Thursday as quoted by Antara.

Previously, the Chairman of the Democrat Party, AHY, said that there were efforts by a number of parties who wanted to overthrow (the coup) from the party chairperson.

AHY said that the political movement had the support of President Jokowi's government officials. Later the Democrat cadre called this figure Moeldoko.

AHY also sent a letter to President Jokowi regarding the alleged coup.

"We have received a letter from Mr. AHY addressed to the President, delivered directly by the Secretary General of the Democratic Party," added Pratikno.

However, Pratikno considered that what happened in the Democratic Party had been regulated in the party's statutes / bylaws (AD / ART) so that President Jokowi did not need to reply to the letter.

"Because it is about the internal dynamics of the party, it is about the internal household of the Democratic Party which has all been regulated in the Democratic Party's AD / ART, that's all," said Pratikno.

On Monday, February 3, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko stated that although he had indeed met a number of cadres and former high-ranking Democrats, he never intended to stage a coup within the Democratic party.

"I'm an outsider, I don't have any rights, they have rights inside. What's the deal? Nothing, 'wong' I'm an outsider," said Moeldoko.

Moeldoko admits that he also respects the founder of the Democratic party and the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

"Who am I? What am I? Just ordinary. In the Democrats there is Pak SBY, there is a son, AHY, especially yesterday that he was chosen by acclamation. Why should I be afraid? Why do you have to respond like that? Just so-so. the dynamics in a political party are common, "said Moeldoko.
