Mega Anggrek And Ciputra Hotels In West Jakarta Become Paid COVID-19 Self-Isolation Points

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has designated two hotels that are used as paid self-isolation points for residents who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The two paid isolation hotels are Hotel Mega Anggrek on Jalan Arjuna Selatan and Hotel Ciputra Jakarta on Jalan Letjen S. Parman. Both are in Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta.

"The isolation hotels are for whose payment is only for guests with the category of people without symptoms or OTG", said the Head of the Tourism Industry Division of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Bambang Ismadi to reporters, Friday, February 5.

Bambang said that the isolation bed capacity in the two hotels is 575 rooms. As for the isolation costs, the DKI Provincial Government has not set a minimum price limit.

"(Prices) are determined by them, the task of the provincial government is only to review the feasibility of hotels and their health protocols", he said.

A paid isolation hotel like Pomelotel is purely doing business with patients. Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government only gives permission for isolation locations with a number of requirements.

In addition, there are five hotels that provide free self-isolation. "Free self-isolation hotels are located at Hotel Grand Asia Penjaringan, Hotel IBIS Senen, Hotel IBIS Style Mangga Dua Hotel Twin Plaza Slipi, and Hotel U-Stay Mangga Besar", said Bambang.

Meanwhile, the financing for self-isolation at the 5 hotels is borne by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) which is handed over to the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.

"The government funded 781 isolation rooms", said Bambang.

However, there are conditions that must be done if you want to get this free isolation facility. First, people who want to be isolated in a hotel must have a letter stating that they are positive for COVID-19.

They must also have a referral letter from the local Public Health Center. This requirement will facilitate coordination in data collection on which isolation bed capacities are available.

Then, it is necessary to show a certificate from Public Health Center stating that the patient is unable to carry out self-isolation at home.
