Pebulu Tangkis Debby Susanto Denies Rented Apartments By Edhy Prabowo

JAKARTA - Pebulu Tangkis Debby Susanto has denied being rented out by the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, a suspect in the alleged bribery case for the lobster seed export license in Kalibata City. According to Debby, the news about this is not true.

"I have never known, I have never met Mr. Edi Prabowo in person. Second, I never received anything from Mr. Edi Prabowo, including the apartment unit that mentioned that I received the apartment unit in 2010," said Debby via his Instagram account @ debbysusanto, Thursday, February 4.

According to him, this matter must be straightened out immediately. This is because the information is very detrimental to him and his family. For that, he asked that this incorrect information not be disseminated again.

"This is defamation, me and my family. I myself do not know why my name was brought up in this case," said Debby.

Debby admitted that until now, his party was still looking for information regarding the mention of his name by Edhy Prabowo.

"Until now, we are still confirming where the initial sources who mentioned my name can be exposed. I want my friends to clear my name from this case besides I have nothing to do with this. I feel this really disturbs my privacy and also my family," he said.

Previously, the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo, admitted to renting an apartment for two badminton athletes Keysa Maulitta Putri and Debby Susanto. However, he denied that the rental had used bribes in the case of lobster or fry export.

"I gave an apartment, if Keysa and Debby I rented an apartment in Kalibata City for a long time since 2010, when I got to know him," said Edhy after being questioned at the Red and White KPK building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 3.

He said the rental of the apartment was long before he served as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. So, he felt confused when it was stated that the apartment was connected to the bribery case that caught him.

When asked about their relationship, Edhy denied there was a special relationship with the two people. He said that this apartment rental was carried out to support his second career.

"When I got to know him because he had just finished national training with badminton and had good potential," he said.
