Banjarmasin - Polresta Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) invites more than a thousand youths to tour the city at five different locations in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru to declare a peaceful general election (Pemilu) in 2024.

Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Pol Sabana Atmojo said the election declaration involved the RX-King motorcycle community, the futsal sports community, non-governmental organizations, football supporters Barito Putera and students who are members of Cipayung Plus Banjarmasin.

"This activity is to strengthen the foundation of the community, especially youth ahead of the 2024 General Election," said Sabana in Banjarmasin, Sunday night.

Sabana menyebutkan deklarasi Pemilu yang dilaksanakan di lima titik lokasi tersebut merupakan salah satu prioritas untuk memastikan partai demokrasi yang akan dilaksanakan secara simultaneous pada 2024 berjalan kondusif di Banjarmasin.

"The main goal of the Election declaration is to inflame the spirit for peace to grow in the midst of society," he said.

He revealed that the steps were carried out regularly to make the 2024 General Election in Banjarmasin City run safely and smoothly.

He also said the importance of building communication to strengthen good relations with the community, especially youth.

According to him, differences of opinion and political views are a form of democracy so that it is hoped that there will be no divisions due to absolute peace in the 2024 election.

Furthermore, the Banjarmasin Police ensured that all 3,880 personnel were ready to secure the 2024 General Election process running smoothly in order to realize consistency in the form of readiness to seek a dignified, fair, and safe election.

"We have to instill the meaning of democracy in all elements of society," said Sabana.
