Beware Of Rain Accompanied By Lightning In Jakarta Between Afternoon And Evening

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning so that the public should be aware of rain accompanied by lightning of short duration in parts of Jakarta on Thursday between the afternoon and evening.

"Be alert of potential rain that can be accompanied by lightning or lightning and strong winds of short duration in the areas of South Jakarta, North Jakarta and East Jakarta between the afternoon and evening," said an early warning statement quoted from Antara, Thursday, February 4.

It is said that the weather situation in the morning for West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Seribu Islands is predicted to be cloudy. Meanwhile, South Jakarta and East Jakarta had light rain.

Moving on at noon, South Jakarta is predicted to experience rain accompanied by lightning. For the Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and East Jakarta areas, light rain is predicted. Meanwhile, West Jakarta has moderate rain, and the Thousand Islands are cloudy.

Then at night there was light rain in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, in other areas moderate rain falls.

The air temperature is estimated to be around 23-31 degrees Celsius which covers all areas in Jakarta with an estimated humidity level of 80 percent to 100 percent.

BMKG also predicts that the weather in the city of Bogor and Depok will rain on a light to moderate scale from morning to night.

Rain in the Bogor area affects the discharge of the Katulampa Dam, which passes through the Ciliwung River to Jakarta, while rain in Depok contributes to an increase in the discharge upstream of the Sunter River.
