JAKARTA - The Gambir Metro Police have begun to conduct an investigation regarding the mugging action experienced by a private employee at Platform 6 Tanah Abang Station, Central Jakarta.
"We will contact the victim. Meanwhile, no witnesses have been questioned and confiscated CCTV footage from the Tanah Abang Station area," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gambir Metro Police, Kompol Andhika Aris Prasetya to VOI, Monday, August 21.
Meanwhile, the mugging victim has not made an official report regarding the crime at the Gambir Metro Police Headquarters.
"The victim has not reported yet. We have checked the crime scene and coordinated with the security station," he said.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) Leza Arlan confirmed the mugging incident at Tanah Abang Station.

"The incident really happened at Tanah Abang Station on Sunday, August 20 at around 18.05 WIB. KCI appealed to KRL users to immediately report to officers if they see or experience a crime and are suspicious," said Leza when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 21.
KCI also urges KRL users to remain vigilant and careful when on the train or at the station.
"Currently, all stations are equipped with CCTV analytics that can record faces. If there are users who commit criminal acts, they will be entered into the data base," he said.
