JAKARTA - The police have raised the status of the case for the alleged sale of Lantigiang Island in Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi from investigation to investigation. The police will determine the suspect.

In this case, the investigator used Article 266 of the Criminal Code. This article contains any person who orders to enter false information into an authentic deed regarding something whose truth must be stated by said deed, with the intention of using or ordering another person to use the deed as if his statement, in accordance with the truth, is threatened, if the use of that deed. may cause harm, with a maximum imprisonment of seven years.

Previously it was reported, the police immediately moved to investigate the news of buying and selling the island. Police got word that Lantigiang Island was sold by residents who claimed ownership of their family descendants.

The sale of Lantigiang Island in Selayar Islands Regency, South Sulawesi caused a stir. This island was sold by Syamsu Alam to a woman named Asdianti Baso for IDR 900 million.

Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah responded to this case by emphasizing that he left the handling to the police.

"This is still under investigation. It also sells only on the recommendation of the Village Head so I think it is very risky because the island cannot be sold. The manager may be able to but with permission. But if I think the state has assets and everything must be confirmed with the local government. , "said Nurdin Abdullah to reporters, Monday, February 1.

But Nurdin has not been able to give a complete response. The reason is that he has not received an official report from the local government.
