Prevent Brawls, Teenagers In Johar Baru Central Jakarta Participate In The August Contest

JAKARTA - A densely populated area prone to brawls between youth groups in RW 02, Johar Baru Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, began filling positive activities by conducting various competition activities in welcoming the 78th Indonesian Independence Day on Monday, August 14.

The positive activity was carried out by Karang Taruna RW 02 Johar Baru Village in an effort to reduce the number of brawls in the Johar Baru area. The competition activity between teenagers and youth also received support from one of the Johar Baru community leaders who is also the former Head of the Johar Baru Police, Edison.

"In the future, young people must fill in with good, good activities, so that in the future this youth organization can be more advanced," said Edison, the former Johar Baru Police Chief for the period 2021 to 2022.

Edison said that since he served as the Head of the Johar Baru Police, brawls in the Johar Baru area have been suppressed. Almost during his tenure there was no brawl between groups of residents and teenagers in Johar Baru.

"Because we are approaching the leaders, Rt/RW, residents and youth groups including youth organizations. Because we are all the same in the eyes of the Almighty, I embraced everything and thank God during my tenure there was no brawl in Johar Baru," he said.

Meanwhile, in the commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day, Edison also supported the youth youth youth program in Johar Baru. One of the supports he gave to the youth was by providing a number of uniforms for a series of competition and carnival activities.

"We help clothes for youth youth children, so wear uniforms for the implementation of 17 August of Indonesia's independence. Don't look at the t-shirts, the value, look at the sincerity I gave to celebrate the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day," said Edison.

Meanwhile, the Head of Karang Taruna RW 02, Fani responded positively to the provision of uniforms from the former Johar Baru Police Chief. Fani said, even though Edison has retired as the Head of the Johar Baru Police, his attention is still there for residents, especially teenagers and youth, so as not to fight.

"I represent the young man Johar Baru to thank Mr. Edison for his assistance. For the competition activities in RW 02, the agustusan event for teenagers will be held from August 12 to 19. Hopefully, Mr. Edison will continue to support us as young people who continue to carry out creative activities to avoid brawls," he said.
