Budiman Sudjatmiko Claims There Is No Prohibition From PDIP Sepanggung With Prabowo

JAKARTA - PDI-P politician (PDIP) Budiman Sudjatmiko talked about the plan to be on stage with Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto. He claims there is no ban from parties.

Moreover, Budiman said, this activity was not related to the PDIP and Gerindra Party which carried different presidential candidates (candidates) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"There is no prohibition, just individuals," Budiman told reporters in Jakarta quoted on Saturday, August 12.

Budiman said the plan to serve with a presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party would be carried out on August 18. The two of them will talk at an event entitled 'Indonesian Unity'.

However, he could not talk about the exact location of the event. "The fix has not yet been determined. Yes, on the 18th (August, ed) but the fix is not yet," he said.

"At the event, there will be a number of things that will be discussed," said Budiman. Among them, the question of downstreaming and global problems.

Everyone will be welcome to take part in the event. All Indonesians who care about Indonesia are involved in politics, involved in business, economy, it's okay to be involved in science (present, ed)," said Budiman.

"We have to put the agenda together," he continued.

Previously, the Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, said that the two politicians would speak on the same stage. No details were disclosed but the activities will be held next week.

"Soon you can see Pak Prabowo and Pak Budiman on the same stage together. Well, that's next week. This is something that will come as a surprise," said Hashim during a virtual gathering "Fitr Briefing and Consolidation of Prabowo Volunteers" reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 10.
