Bareskrim Tengah Learns Komnas HAM Recommendations On The Death Of 6 FPI Laskar

JAKARTA - Bareksrim Polri has yet to determine its position based on the recommendation of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) regarding the alleged shooting case of 6 Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road.

Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brig. Gen. Andi Rian said that so far investigators are still studying the results of these recommendations. This is because the recommendation documents were only received on Friday, January 29.

"The results of the Komnas HAM investigation were only received by investigators on Friday January 29th. Investigators are currently studying," Andi told reporters, Tuesday, February 2.

To determine the attitude or follow-up of these recommendations, said Andi, investigators will hold a meeting with related parties. The plan, the meeting will be held in the near future.

"There will be a discussion meeting tomorrow between investigators and the internal control function," he said.

Meanwhile, when he was asked about the recommendation that he would immediately use it, or instead conducted a re-investigation before the title of pekara, Andi did not explain the details. He only said that all the authorities on that matter were investigators.

"The mechanism entirely depends on the investigator. Later they will analyze and follow up," he said.

Previously, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, confirmed that he would follow up on the recommendations of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) regarding the shooting that killed six members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) army.

This was conveyed by Listyo in front of Commission III of the DPR when he was carrying out a fit and proper test.

"The extrajudicial killing incident recommended by Komnas HAM was in compliance with and following up on recommendations," said Komjen Listyo Sigit, Wednesday, January 20.

"So the KM 50 issue we follow the recommendations of Komnas HAM," he added.
