JAKARTA - One of the initiators of the Murder Incident Team (TP3), Marwan Batubara, issued a petition demanding that the government disclose the names of police officers who were involved in clashes with six FPI troops.

The reason is that the team formed by Amien Rais, Neno Warisman, Busyro Muqoddas, and a number of other figures felt that the results of the investigation of the shooting of six FPI troops on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road had been completed by Komnas HAM.

"TP3 demands that the names of the perpetrators of the murder of 6 members of the FPI laskar reported by Komnas HAM to the President of the Republic of Indonesia be announced immediately," Marwan said in a virtual press conference, Monday, February 1.

In addition, TP3 also demands President Joko Widodo, as the head of government, to take responsibility for the shooting incident that occurred on December 7, 2020.

Marwan asked the state to be responsible for publicly apologizing to the families of the victims of the six FPI troops, in accordance with Article 7 of Law Number 31 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 13 of 2006 concerning Protection of Witnesses and Victims.

"The state must apologize to the victims and their families by acknowledging that there were gross human rights violations in the 7 December 2020 incident which killed 6 victims," said Marwan.

In addition, the state is also asked to provide media and psychosocial services free of charge and immediately for other survivors of the 7 December 2020 incident.

"Then, provide compensation to victims and their families through facilities from witness and victim protection agencies. As well as, rehabilitating victims who have died from labeling and stigma that have been accused of arbitrarily against them," he said.
