JAKARTA - Chairman of Rabithah Alawiyah Habib Zen Umar bin Smith called the arrival of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as a good step. This gathering is called reconnecting the relationship that was cut off.

Habib Zen said that the leader of the Bhayangkara Corps who had arrived was General (ret) Tito Karnavian. Then communication was cut off during General Idham Azis' leadership.

"In his time, he continued some time ago, the last visit of the National Police Chief who visited here was during Pak Tito's era, after that it was interrupted, then he did reconnect. So this is actually connecting a bridge that originally existed and was cut off and this is a good thing," said Habib Zen to reporters, Saturday, January 30.

With the reconnection of this communication, said Habib Zen, this proves the statement of Listyo Sigit, who said that during his leadership, the National Police would take a transparent and humane approach.

"These two things I hold are a big progress because if there is a preventive dialogue approach, things will not happen that will make us separate," he said.

In addition to improving relations, Listyo Sigit's arrival was also used to talk about the COVID-19 pandemic. The reason is that many people still think that COVID-19 is just a conspiracy.

"So once again, his visit here is nothing more than a gathering, also explaining how our country's condition is in a tough condition with this pandemic and also changing thought patterns that sometimes interpret for themselves that COVID-19 is a conspiracy or something," he said.
