Formula E Has Not Been Implemented, Mr. Anies, Where Did The Budget Go?

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of DKI Jakarta DPRD Zita Anjani asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan to clarify openly regarding the budget that had been issued in the plan for the performance of Formula E.

Because according to Zita, currently, many parties are questioning where the budget has been disbursed. In fact, currently, the electric car racing event has not been implemented.

"There is a lot of information circulating regarding the budget spent on implementing Formula E. Not a few have asked where the money is. I hope the governor will provide clarification", said Zita in his statement, Friday, January 29.

Zita said the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government could not only inform the delay of the implementation of Formula E and guarantee that the Commitment Fee would not be wasted.

However, now the people need certainty regarding the budget that has been disbursed. Moreover, currently, the condition of COVID-19 is currently increasing and many COVID-19 patients are not undergoing treatment because of the full isolation beds and ICU at the referral hospital.

"I think it would be wise for the governor to just clarify it immediately. Answer the public's questions with data and facts. Don't let the people just guess so that a hoax can eventually arise", said Zita.

Previously, a member of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak, revealed that the total budget that has been disbursed by the DKI Provincial Government in the planned performance of Formula E has reached IDR 1.1 trillion.

Gilbert explained the details of the budget that had been issued. The commitment fee is IDR 360 billion in the first term and IDR 200 billion in the second term.

Then, there are direct and indirect measurable funds that have also been paid with a total of IDR 143 billion. This fund was used for changes to the Monas field which from the beginning was planned to be related to Formula E.

Apart from that, the regional capital participation in PT Jakarta Propertindo was disbursed for activities related to Formula E.

There are details, including IDR 5 billion for a feasibility study, IDR 600 million for socialization, and IDR 10 billion for public services and others.

"This fee is not clear whether it has been spent and used or canceled. Then the cost for the initial negotiations to New York which will be conducted by the Governor in 2019", said Gilbert.

Then, there are still direct costs in the form of a Bank Guarantee of IDR 423 billion in 2020 that will be paid to the bank. Then, there are also several Formula E budgets that are also available in several SKPDs such as the Youth and Sports Service, the Tourism Office, and the Transportation Service.
