Touching Airin At The Constitutional Court Session, Muhamad-Sara Asks For A Re-vote At All Polling Stations In Tangsel

JAKARTA - The pair of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor of South Tangerang, Muhamad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, asked for a re-voting (PSU) in all polling stations (TPS) in South Tangerang.

In the trial of the dispute over the election results at the Constitutional Court building, the attorney of Muhamad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, Swardi Aritonang, argued that manipulative acts were laden with structured, systematic, and massive violations (TSM) in the implementation of the South Tangerang Regional Election.

It is argued that the TSM violation involved the South Tangerang City Government, including in the form of distribution of Baznas funds to win the candidate pair number 03 Benyamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan.

Swardi Aritonang said candidate pair number 03 Benyamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan is part of the current government whose mayor is Airin Diany.

Benyamin Davnie serves as Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang who is running as a candidate for mayor. Furthermore, Pilar Saga Ichsan is the nephew of Airin Diany so that he has the same political interests to win the candidate pair.

According to the petitioner quoted from Antara, Friday, January 29, Airin Diany directly distributed Baznas funds to 54 urban villages, even though the mayor did not have the authority to distribute zakat directly.

The next violation argued by the petitioner is the deployment of state civil servants and the use of issues of ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA) to win candidate number 03.

The KPU of Tangerang Selatan City is also said to be directly involved in winning the candidate pair number 03, including by giving invitations long before voting and allowing voters to use their voting rights more than once.

Previously, the South Tangerang KPU determined the recapitulation results of candidate pair number 01 Muhamad-Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo as many as 205,309 votes, candidate pair number 02 Siti Nurazizah-Ruhamaben 134,682 votes, and candidate pair number 03 Benyamin Davnie-Pilar Saga Ichsan 235,734 votes.
