Budi Gunadi Explains The Handling Of COVID-19 At The Unhas Medical Faculty Anniversary Event

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin conveyed the steps that the government has taken and will take in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring the national economy at the peak of the 65th Anniversary of the Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Faculty of Medicine.

Budi said that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many things must be prepared in order to build a good health system and services.

"This is so that Indonesia is much more prepared to face similar problems", said Budi Sadikin in a statement received in Makassar, reported by Antara, Friday, January 29.

According to the Minister of Health, adequate human resources, service systems and health industry are needed.

To achieve this, Indonesia has the potential and diversity of biodiversity that can support readiness in the health sector.

In addition, the support and involvement of all parties also affect the readiness to face various problems going forward.

Dean of Medical Faculty (FK) Unhas, Prof. Dr. Budu SpM (K) MMed Ed explained that for 65 years, the Medical Faculty (FK) of Unhas has been involved in supporting and encouraging the formation of health faculties from various universities in Indonesia.

"Since 30 years ago, FK Unhas has raised other faculties at Unhas such as FKG, Faculty of Nursing, and FKM to stand independently. FK also builds partners and fosters FKs in other universities in various regions", he said.

Budu expressed his appreciation to the Unhas doctors who contributed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is clear evidence of the role of FK Unhas in encouraging increased welfare and together with the government striving for public health.

Chairperson of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Dr. Bachtiar Murtala SpRad (K), explained that this time the FK Unhas Anniversary commemoration was entrusted to the Department of Radiology and Forensics.

Even during the pandemic, the committee tried to optimally carry out various scientific activities to arts and sports virtually and still implement the COVID-19 protocol.
